Chart Show's gone Gaga!

This week Chart Show interviewed, one of the most popular women in the music industry, Lady Gaga.

Gaga was over in the UK promoting her highly anticipated album Born this Way, released on the 23rd of May. Lady Gaga has grown to be one of the world’s most recognisable artists, with over 10 million Twitter followers and over one billion hits on YouTube, Gaga is an international success.

She describes her latest album as 'techno rock', a big change from her original pop songs Just Dance and Poker Face. The album is different from what we’ve heard before and she describes it as... "An experiment with lots of different sounds and approaches to Pop Music, with an metal rock element in the choruses".

Gaga, who is also known for her wacky style and unique videos, said she is influenced by her personal life when creating music, along with some very popular artists…

"I learn a lot about myself through the lyrics I write… I was influenced by Madonna, Brue Springsteen, PrinceWhitney Houston, I could go on!"

Her latest music video taken from her album Born This Way is described as "A layering of metaphors about re-birth". However, Gaga’s intentions for the whole album were already planned out,  "I wanted the album to sound like a party, but a bit like a film aswell. It has a musical theatre quality to it".
